What Happens When I First Contact The Practice?

When you contact the practice for the first time, our friendly reception staff will explain to you that your initial examination will take 45 minutes. An appointment time will be scheduled which fits in with your diary, and you will be asked to pay the initial examination fee.

At your first visit you will be required to complete a confidential medical history form. Your problems and concerns will be listened to and you will undergo a thorough clinical examination. Should radiographs be required they will be taken at this time. They will be read and a diagnosis reached with you present. After this any questions that you might have will be answered.

Your Treatment Plan

If your treatment is relatively straightforward a treatment plan, which is tailored to your needs will be formulated and discussed with you and printed for you. This includes a clear and transparent fee estimate.

However, if your case is particularly complex and requires multiple treatment options with their associated fees then further appointments may be required to obtain the additional and specific information required for a comprehensive in depth and detailed assessment.

This in depth assessment will be followed by a second visit during which a multi page report with its multiple treatment options will be presented to you. This we will discuss with you and ensure you understand all aspects of the report and the associated fees.

You will then be encouraged to take the report home to consider your options in your own time before making a decision on the treatment you feel is best for you.

Should You Require Another Discussion

Should you require another discussion to finalize any questions or discuss your treatment this will be scheduled for to suit you. At the end of this appointment you should be have a clear idea of any dental problems that you have and the treatment options available to you to address these problems.

If you wish to proceed with the recommended treatment you can book all the necessary appointments which will be set out for you in a way which suits your treatment needs as well as your diary and your budget requirements.
